How We Protect Your Information

Last updated: May 6, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how J&G Heating & Air Conditioning (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website, request a service estimate, schedule an appointment, or pay an invoice. We’re a small, family-owned business—your trust matters to us, and we’ll never sell your personal information.

By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site or request services. If you have questions, call us at 717-872-6994.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you give us directly and information collected automatically when you use the site:

  • Contact & service-request information — when you fill out a form (estimate request, service appointment, contact, or financing), we collect your name, address, phone number, email, and any details you share about your home or HVAC needs.
  • Service appointment records — the equipment we install or service, dates of visits, technician notes, and warranty registrations.
  • Payment information — when you pay an invoice, payment details (credit card, debit, ACH) are collected and processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
  • Website usage data — pages visited, time on site, referring page, browser type, device type, and approximate location. This is collected automatically through analytics tools (see Cookies section below).
  • Phone-call tracking — when you call a phone number on our site, we may use call-tracking software to record which marketing source brought you to us. This helps us understand which channels work and improve our service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the services you request (estimates, installation, repair, maintenance)
  • Schedule and confirm appointments and dispatch technicians
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
  • Send service reminders, seasonal maintenance notices, and follow-ups
  • Process payments and send invoices
  • Register manufacturer warranties on equipment we install
  • Improve our website, marketing, and customer experience
  • Send occasional marketing emails about specials, rebates, or seasonal tips—you can opt out anytime
  • Comply with legal requirements and protect our business

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to operate our business:

  • Our technicians and staff — so they can show up at the right address and bring the right parts.
  • Payment processors — to process credit card and ACH transactions securely.
  • Equipment manufacturers — to register product warranties (e.g., Heil, Fujitsu, Generac, Bradford White) on equipment we install at your home.
  • Financing partners — if you apply for HVAC financing, your application information is shared with the lender you select (Wells Fargo, PowerPay, GoodLeap).
  • Analytics and advertising providers — like Google, who help us measure site performance and run targeted advertising. These providers see aggregated data, not your full personal details.
  • Legal compliance — if required by subpoena, court order, or to protect our rights, employees, or customers.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences, and measure performance. Cookies are small text files saved in your browser.

Specifically, we use:

  • Google Analytics — to understand which pages people visit and how the site performs. Google’s privacy practices apply to data collected through Analytics.
  • Call-tracking software — to record which marketing channel led to a phone call. This helps us know which advertising works.
  • Elfsight widgets — the Google review badge and reviews carousel on our site are embedded through Elfsight, which sets its own cookies for widget functionality.
  • Advertising cookies — we may use Google Ads or similar platforms to show our ads to people who’ve visited our site. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your browser or your Google account settings.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. If you do, some features of the site may not work properly.

5. Third-Party Services

Our site embeds tools from third parties (Google Analytics, Elfsight, payment processors, financing partners). When you interact with those tools, the third party’s privacy policy applies to data they collect. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party service before submitting personal information.

Our site may also link to manufacturer websites, financing portals, or other partners. We’re not responsible for the privacy practices of sites we link to.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. Our website uses SSL/TLS encryption to protect form submissions in transit. Payment processing is handled by PCI-compliant third-party processors. Internally, we limit access to customer information to staff who need it to do their jobs.

That said, no system is 100% secure. While we work to protect your information, we can’t guarantee absolute security. If you believe your information has been compromised, contact us right away.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our site and services are not directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you’re a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You have several choices about how we use your information:

  • Marketing opt-out — every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link. You can also call or email us to opt out anytime. Opting out of marketing won’t affect transactional emails (appointment confirmations, invoices, service follow-ups).
  • Access & correction — you can ask us what information we have about you and request corrections. Call 717-872-6994 or use our contact form.
  • Deletion — you can ask us to delete your information. We may need to keep some records for tax, warranty, or legal purposes (typically up to 7 years).
  • Cookie controls — manage cookies through your browser settings or use the privacy tools offered by Google, your browser, or your device manufacturer.

9. California Residents

If you live in California, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we’ve collected about you, the right to request deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights. To exercise these rights, contact us at 717-872-6994 or through our contact form. We do not sell personal information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top of the page. Significant changes may also be communicated by email or a notice on the site. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
