On installation day, our crew will shut off water and gas/power to your old water heater, drain the tank fully, and disconnect all plumbing and electrical/gas lines. We’ll haul away the old unit responsibly (recycling or disposal per local regulations). The work area is cleaned and prepared for the new installation.
The new tank is positioned in the same location (or relocated if you prefer and space allows). Our technician will install all necessary fittings: cold-water inlet, hot-water outlet, temperature & pressure relief valve, drain pan (if needed), and all venting hardware for gas models. Gas pressure is set to exact specifications; water pressure is confirmed. The unit is filled, pressure-tested, and all connections are checked for leaks.
Before we leave, your new tank is brought up to temperature, hot water is confirmed at multiple fixtures, and gas combustion (if applicable) is tested and verified safe. You’ll receive a full walkthrough: thermostat settings, how to access the drain valve, water heater warranty information, recommended maintenance intervals, and our contact number for any questions. We’ll also discuss whether a drain pan and sediment flush schedule makes sense for your water quality.
